Walter Daniels Construction delivered the Starbucks Coffee at Finley Square Mall in Downers Grove, Illinois, completing a fast-track tenant build-out tailored to Starbucks’ national brand standards. The scope included selective demolition, concrete trenching and new plumbing rough-ins, upgraded electrical service, and precise MEP coordination for espresso, filtration, and refrigeration equipment. We installed custom millwork for the front bar and backline, durable tile and wall finishes, and a warm lighting package that frames the café’s modern, inviting aesthetic.
Working within an active retail center, our team phased work to minimize disruption, managed off-hour deliveries, and maintained strict life-safety and cleanliness protocols. Final commissioning covered equipment start-up, health department compliance items, and detailed punch-list closeout—delivering a ready-to-operate café with efficient back-of-house workflow, ADA-compliant access, and a polished guest experience from day one.
